Recently I have been thinking a lot about ADHD…
I have been thinking about how ADHD as a condition affects students with their learning and how as Teachers of SEND students, what can we do to support them better, more effectively and more efficiently in the classroom.
To help my colleagues I delivered a CPD session on this topic. The feedback was very positive. I kept reiterating that none of the strategies I shared are ground breaking, or new, however, just highlighted the need to remember to remember them! I also continually referenced how these overlap with many other needs in a classroom, as like everybody who knows me knows, good teaching for SEND students is good teaching for everybody!
I thought it might be worth sharing it with you.

One final thought; what is fascinating is how Autism is more commonly known as a condition, but ADHD, still a disorder. A change in language is needed.
